Famux
Terms
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Thanks for using Famux. These terms keep a private household app fair for the people in it. When we say Famux, we, our, or us, we mean Matthew Beasley, operating Famux from the United States. When we say the Services, we mean the Famux app and famux.com. When we say you, we mean the person or household that uses Famux.
We may update these terms. When a change matters, we will refresh the date above. Using Famux after that means you accept the latest terms. These terms limit our liability.
If you violate these terms, we may close the account. The use restrictions explain the kinds of use that lead there.
The account
You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for the Apple ID on the device.
You are responsible for what is posted under your login, including what other people in the household add.
A household has one owner. The owner can add people from Family. A parent can add a child to the list. Famux does not ask a child to open an account.
You may not use Famux for anything in the use restrictions, and you may not let someone else do that from your household.
Accounts are for people. Signups by bots are not allowed.
Plans and payment
Free is free. We do not ask for a card, and we do not sell your data.
Plus and Circles are optional subscriptions for the whole household. Apple bills them. Famux does not receive your card number. The price in the App Store at the time you subscribe is the price you pay.
One household is on one plan. Pets do not count toward the people limit.
Taxes on an App Store subscription are collected by Apple where the store requires it.
Refunds for an App Store charge follow the refunds page. Apple decides those requests.
Cancellation
You cancel a subscription from the Apple ID that bought it. You delete a login inside Famux, under Settings, then Account. An email asking us to cancel is not itself the cancellation. The details are on the cancellation page.
Changes to Famux and to prices
We can change, pause, or remove a feature. If the price of Plus or Circles changes, Apple notifies you before the next renewal, and the new price applies only if you accept it under Apple’s rules.
Your content
What you put into Famux stays yours. You give us a limited license to host and show it so the household can use the app. We claim no ownership of it.
Content has to comply with copyright law. The copyright page says how to send a notice.
We do not screen household content in advance. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Famux, the app, and its design belong to us. You do not get ownership of the Services by using them. Do not copy the product, resell access, or use the Famux name or logo without written permission.
Privacy and security
You agree that we process household data only as described in the privacy policy. People who operate Famux can look at a household’s plans or chat in four cases: you asked for help, an error cannot be fixed without seeing the smallest amount of data involved, we are investigating a use-restriction report, or the law requires it.
The Services are provided as is and as available. We do not offer an uptime guarantee.
Bugs
We test Famux before we ship it. Software still has bugs. We work on the ones that affect safety, privacy, or whether the household can use the app. We do not promise that every report will be fixed, or that Famux will meet a particular expectation.
Liability
You expressly understand and agree that we shall not be liable, in law or in equity, to you or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, lost profits, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from the use or inability to use the Services, substitute products, unauthorized access to or alteration of your data, the conduct of any other person in a household, or any other matter relating to these terms or the Services.
In short: Famux is a tool for a household’s week. If it does not work out, that loss is yours. We still have to follow the law where a limit like this is not allowed.
